Hey all-

What's goin on? We just had a big win against the Skins which was much needed. Only one game behind the Boys and we play them the last game of the season...could be epic.

I didn't play as much as I wanted, but hopefully next week I'm back in there. I moved over to the other side so now I'm playing behing Mike where before I was behind Bunk. I'm back at my more natural position, and one I played all throughout college, so I'm super pumped. Just gotta get on the field now.

Looks like Weis is out the door at ND...shame he couldn't have a big season this year...I know I thought they were primed. Hopefully the next coach can come in there and really make ND the powerhouse they should be. I liked the TCU coach but he just signed an extension...so maybe the Cincy coach??? I dunno...we'll see I guess.

Hey all-

Tough loss last night. Thought we were gonna pull it off but couldn't
finish the deal. We just couldn't get it done early. At least the
Cowboys lost too I guess but would have been nice to pick up a game on
them!!

I was happy to get a TFL but still want to contribute more. Just wish
there were more snaps out there, but I'll keep working and hopefully
get more and more pt as the year goes.

Check out the pic as I just put up a new mini hoop in my place. Pretty
sweet. We balled out on it pretty hard last weekend. Good times.

Well our roster is set and now we're officially prepping for Carolina. Feels good to have the preseason behind us and be focusing on games that count. I wasn't totally happy with my play in the preseason so I'm really focusing on my technique, conditioning and even eating habits to make sure I'm doing everything I can to get my game up and help this team. I'm doing whatever it takes to help out that's for sure.

Glad to see my Irish dominate like they did...big year for them I'm feeling. Next week at the Big House should be a good test!! I'm expecting big things when USC comes to South Bend this year!

Game 2

Hey-

Well another preseason game is here, and I'm ready to go. I didn't play as much as I had hoped the last game cuz I ended up separating my shoulder on KO return...it hurt. Haha...but I got some treatment and have been playing through it. Got a shot the other day and it's feeling pretty good now. My hammy is all good, so I'm ready to go tomorrow. I am anxious to make some plays and contribute!!!

I'm back folks, and it feels great. I tested out the hammy on Saturday and it went well. It's sore, but it doesn't feel like it's gonna reinjure easily so I'm happy about it. I even used my cat like reflexes to get an interception and take it to the house in practice...that's just what I do!! haha...

Obviously we signed Mike Vick as well, and I'm totally behind the signing. He obviously did some terrible things, but he also spent 2 years in prison and should be allowed to get a 2nd chance. I'm happy to have him on our squad and only have to chase him around in practice and not in games.

I'm anxious to get out on the field in a game situation so this week's game can't get here fast enough. Time to bust some heads!

Preseason is almost here

Well we have our first game this week against the Pats, and I wish I could be out there to help the squad. I'm thinking I'm gonna try and come back after this game tho, so I'm pumped about that. It has been feeling better lately, so that is promising. I'll test it out the first practice after the game this Thursday, and see where I'm at. Hopefully I'm good to go!

If you have an iPhone...check out ragdoll blaster...awesome game. Also check out Chess with friends. Pretty fun game where you and someone else can play chess on your own schedule...makes moves when you have time...pretty sweet.

Camp presses on

Yo-

Camp is in full swing, but unfortunately I haven't been able to participate because of my stupid hamstring. Being hurt is frustrating...especially something nagging like a hammy where it just completely go away and always seems to be on the verge of popping again. It sucks. I've been getting lots of ice on it, doing tons of stretching and also rehab exercises. It is still painful, but I'm hoping to test it on the field in a couple days. It's just so important to be out on the field in camp, especially for someone like me who is still trying to make a name for myself. It kills me to know that I hurt it on the last sprint of my workout too...DAGGER!

As you all know Coach Johnson passed away and today is his funeral. Coach was a special guy, and someone I loved playing for. I loved his style, and the way he coached. I was only with him for one year, but it was great to get to know him. Can't say enough about the man. I'll miss him.

I'll hit you guys back next week sometime and let you know how the rehab is progressing. Hopefully I'll be able to get some work in on the field!

Well, it's time to put my hard hat on and go to work. Report to camp tomorrow...and it's a big camp for me. I'm hoping to really play well and show the coaches that I'm ready to contribute in a big way this year. Unfortunately, I did tweak my hammy while training, so that is gonna be a struggle to overcome. I'm hoping it heals quickly tho so I can be on the field as much as possible.

It was a good summer too...it was a blast being able to hang with all my buddies and family. I'm ready to be home tho and get down to work. We're gonna be damn good this year...and I want that ring on my finger!!!!

I'll try and keep you up to date while in camp...altho it's tough to catch any free time since it's 100% football from 6:30am to 10:00pm. Tough.

Time to get pumped Eagles fans...

Nice little vacay

Spent the weekend of the 4th with my fam down in TN at our family lakehouse. Had a blast. Did some serious swimming and relaxin. It felt good. I did so some sprints and conditioning on two of the days I was there...and working out on vacation isn't much fun that's for sure. Gotta do it tho.

My uncle got a new dock that floats on the water and has an upper deck that we all jumped off of...it's probably about 15 feet or so. So of course me and Dan were jumping off and diving in and trying to do flips...it wasn't very pretty. HIlarious tho. My bro has a great vid of it on his website, check it out here: My flip

Now I'm back in MN doing two-a-days trying to get ready for camp. It's coming up quick and I wanna really compete this year and earn some PT. I think we're gonna have a damn good team, so I wanna be out there competing with em.

What a weekend

It's good to be home. I have been thoroughly enjoying my time off back in MN, but still working hard with my trainer at Velocity.

This weekend was a great time as we got to spend a lot of time on the lake, celebrate my dad's bday and father's day, and my boy Jeff came up to visit from Iowa.

Monday was a great day as me, both my bros, Jeff, Sully, Steph and Dieruf all spent the day on the lake. It was fantastic weather and fantastic company. Did some surfing and even got in a little Tiger on the wii...which is awesome btw. Ended the day with a little bbq action at Sully's new crib.

Got to hit it hard the rest of the week training, then it's spending the weekend in Puerto Rico for a NFL thing, and then a couple days next week at our family lakehouse in TN.

Well I'm back in MN and it feels good. Me and my girlfriend got back on Friday, and the whole weekend was spent with friends and family. It was my bday on Sunday (I'm 24 and old!) so we hung out at my bro's house and just boated all day. Good stuff. I even got to do a little surfing which is a blast.

I'm actually gonna be in MN for about a month, so I'm sure I'll be seeing all my boys from high school and what not. Should be a good time. I am working out with a Velocity trainer 5 days a week, so it won't be all fun and games. Gotta get my body right before camp. I'm feeling a big year for the squad so I gotta make sure I am ready to go. I will be.

Welcome Back

Yoooooooooo. Seems like it's been forever since I've posted anything, so I thought I would check in and let everyone know what I've been up to.

First off, it was a great rookie season for me. I got my feet wet playing the league and finding out first hand what it takes to make plays at this level. I am making sure that I'm coming into camp this year in better shape...stronger, faster, quicker, smarter...I'm hoping it translates to a better season for me. Getting injured early in camp last year really slowed my development, so I'm hoping to stay healthy this time around.

The offseason has been good to me so far. Been working out obviously, but also taking some time to enjoy myself and clear my head before diving back into the grind. Took a couple of trips with some friends, and also went to the Caribbean with my girlfriend and another couple. That was an amazing time. This weekend my little bro came up and we hung out and I showed him around Philly.

OTAs are under way so I've been preparing myself for those. We have 8 practices in 2 weeks, so I need to be ready to go. After that I'm heading back to MN for a couple weeks to visit the fam. Then it'll be back to Philly for camp...can't believe it's almost here already. Crazy how fast it goes.

Well I promise not to let 6 months go by without another post like last time.

Hey all-

Just a quick hello during a short week. It's been a tough couple of weeks with the way we've been playing. It's definitely not how we envisioned the season going when we were busting heads in training camp. Even those first couple of games were real positive for us...but hey, we still have a chance and we're gonna try and get it done these next couple of weeks. There is no choice really, we have to make a run to have a shot at the playoffs. Giddy up.

Thanksgiving this week. Gonna be different for me in that I'll be working that day! Pretty sweet tho. Another nationally televised game. Can't wait to lay some hits on old man Warner. We're gonna have our hands full tho with their passing attack...should be a fun game.

Oh, you should definitley pick up Gears of War 2. It has consumed my life outside of football. You will be addicted if you get it! Fair warning!

Tough Loss

Eagle Nation-

Man, what a tough loss Sunday night. Damn...just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. We needed that one bad. We are gonna have to scratch and fight our way into the playoffs. We no longer control our own destiny...so that sucks. We'll just have to make it happen.

I really wanna contribute to this team and do whatever the coaches ask of me. I do wish I was playing more, but that's life in the NFL man. I just gotta keep preparing and working hard and do whatever it takes to help this team win. Next up is my hometown Bengals.

I was born in Dayton OH, so this is a homecoming for me. In fact, I'll have about 15 family members in attendance, so that will be cool. Should be a fun game. It's a must win...as just about all of them now are. I wish I had some time to hang with em, but road games just don't allow that.

Still moving in and getting settled in Philly. Boxes everywhere...but it's coming. At least I got guitar hero setup!

Keep the faith Philly fans...season is far from done.

Back at it

Hey all-

Well vacation is over, and it's time to DO WORK again! I had a really nice bye week. My mom's birthday was on the 14th, so I surprised her and flew back home. It was pretty cool. I was on the phone with her wishing her a happy birthday, and then walked in the house. She had no idea I was coming, or that I was even there, so she just kept talking to me on the phone. Finally she figured out my voice wasn't coming from the phone anymore, but from the same room! Freaked her out. Pretty cool though.

Then my boy Jeff came up last weekend and hung out with me. We had a blast. I hadn't seen him in awhile, so we chilled out and enjoyed ourselves. Just a great little break from football for a couple of days.

This week was back at it though, and it felt good to start working again. Got the Falcons tomorrow, so I'm hoping to put that BC punk Matt Ryan on his back. I'm hoping to get some good PT this game too.

I'm hoping to score some Phillies tickets as that would be sweet to check out a game there. We'll see.

Vacay

Well six games down, 10 to go. It's been an eye opening six weeks for me. Just getting adjusted to the NFL-life has been tough, but fun. Going up against guys I've watched on TV has been pretty cool too. Meeting new guys, being part of a new team after being on one team for the last 5 years has been a new experience. I definitely have to say this team is very tight...everyone gets along and yet knows what our jobs are. It's a good situation.

I was excited to play more against the 49ers, and hopefully I can play more and more as the season goes on. To be effective inside, you need rotation so as the season wears on I'm sure I'll continue to get some PT.

Since we won, Coach Reid gave us off til next Monday, which pretty much made our entire week. It's nice to have some time off and be able to get things done around the house and finish moving in. He told us right after the game on Sunday and said "See you all Monday" and we were like damn, then he said "NEXT Monday" and we all erupted. Coach Reid is a funny dude.

Anyway, I'm off. Thanks to everyone that's bought those Club 93 shirts...that means a lot to me!

Another tough game

We got another tough game against a division opponent this week...it just doesn't get any easier does it? Life in the NFC East is tough...but we're prepared and ready to go. We need this game to stay on pace with the Cowboys. With the gameplan we have in place, I think we'll be ready.

Tough game against the Bears...thought we were gonna pull that one out. We'll learn from it and be a better team for it. It was a sweet atmosphere though...under the lights...Solider Field...pretty cool. I have to say in my first couple games in the NFL, I've been in some big games...two nationally televised games, under the lights, against the Cowboys...pretty crazy.

My thigh is still healing up, so that's good. I am 100% prepared for this game, so hopefully I get some good reps. I'm pumped about how our line is playing...just gotta keep getting after em.

Still moving in and getting my place livable. My girlfriend it out here too now so that's been nice. She actually just got a job so she's been busy with that as well.

Anyways, cheer us on this weekend. I hope I see some Club 93 shirts out there!!!

Ready for the Bears

Well, I've got 3 games under my belt, and already anxious for the Bears. We've had some exciting games, especially the Monday night game against the Boys. I ended up only playing one snap that night, and went from scoring a TD to getting kneed in the thigh and being out of the game...quite the turnaround. I can't believe I didn't scoop up the ball...it was right there. I'm hoping to turn these "almosts" into reality sooner or later.

I didn't play a ton in yesterday's game, but I'm hoping to get a good week of practice in, let my thigh keep healing and be ready to contribute 100% next week against the Bears. I'm hoping my boy Jeff can make it to the game this weekend. Would be fun to see him.

I finally moved in to my condo, and it feels good. It's been a lot of work, but at least I can sleep in my own place. My bed is awwwwwwwesome. Love it. Still lots of stuff to setup, but at least I can get a good nights sleep!

Make sure you check out the new Club 93 shirt, Obey the Laws. My bro designed them and they're pretty sweet. Would love to see someone out there with one on!

Anyways, look for me this weekend. I'll be the one standing over Kyle Orton!!! BOW!

Pure domination

Well my first official NFL game is in the books, and I had a blast. I was getting super hyped in pregame warmups. They were bumping some killer music, everyone was getting into it. It is definitely a different environment than ND that's for sure. I saw my fam in the stands and they were into it, and that just got me more into it! I was ready.

In the tunnel before introductions it was dark, and all you could see was the top of the players' heads bouncing, hearing people screaming, yelling and getting pumped up...just made me so HYPED!! Running out onto the field was sweet. Fireworks going off, fans screaming...definitely memorable.

The game was also a lot of fun. After my senior year at ND, I had my share of losing so this was a breath of fresh air. Having an offense that actually put up big numbers was very nice. Plus the rotation they used on the DL kept us all fresh. I haven't felt this good after a game since I don't know when. It was nice.

I would have liked to make a couple more plays, but oh well. I thought I was gonna get a sack on my 2nd play in there, but I got pulled down from behind when I had a clear shot to the QB. Then I laid on the ground for what seemed like 30 seconds just swiping at Bulger's feet. Makes me laugh thinking about it. I'm not sure what happened, or why I didn't get up to make the sack...but it was an unreal experience.

Next up is the Boys...Monday Night...under the lights...Texas Stadium...Romo...Owens...time to rock. This is big time. Time so show everyone we're for real and the best in our division. Can't wait.

Time for the real thing

Yo-

Well it's officially gameweek. Time to put the preseason behind us and focus on the real thing. I'm pumped to play a game that actually counts. Preseason was good for learning, and figuring out how to play in the NFL, but I'm ready to get on the field and produce some Ws that actually mean something. Bring on the Rams.

This week we're just putting in our Rams package. Really focusing on what we have to do to stop them and start off the season the right way. It's a lot of study off the field as well as on.

Off the field...I've just been getting ready for my house closing later this month. I'm still living in a hotel which isn't all that great, but I'm gonna buy a TV here soon for my new place so that will get me excited.

Anyways, have a good week. I'll get getting ready to blow up the Rams and perfect my sack dance. Holla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally got one

Well this weekend I finally made the switch and got the sweetest piece of electronics this side of the Pacific ocean...the iPhone. My bro has one, a couple of my boys have one...I was overdue. I turned in my Sprint junk and got my shiny new toy. I have to say, I love it already.

I'm still trying to get my texting skill up to speed, but that will come with practice...I just wish you could text in landscape mode for fat fingered bruthas like myself. I'm also still checking out the app store and see what I need to download. So far I've heard good things about Pandora radioShazam and Cube Runner. This phone will definitely be keeping me busy in the near future. I honestly can't believe I went this long without one.

As for the game last week, I wasn't too happy with my performance out there. I definitely didn't play as well as I would have liked. It's preseason, and I'm still learning tho, so come regular season I should be tip top. One more game this week, and I'm actually starting! That is pretty sweet. I'm hoping Favre plays at least one series so I can say I played against him.

Two Games Down

Well, I survived my first two games as a Philadelphia Eagle. It's definitely a whole different game from college ball. Everyone is a lot faster, bigger, and hits a lot harder. All in all I feel pretty good about how I performed. I think I held my own and didn't make any major mistakes. I know there's a lot of room for improvement, and I am working hard and listening to the coaches and veterans so I can get out there and dominate. I'm still a little banged up but am taking really good care of my body off the field. Hopefully I'll be back to 100% in no time.

The carnival this past Sunday was pretty cool. It's fun to meet all these kids who are just so excited to meet you and be in the NFL atmosphere. I remember feeling the same way when I was little and it's really cool to be on the other end.

Other than that, I am just enjoying being back in Philly. The more I get out in the city the more I love it. Despite the healthy diet I'm on, I had to stop at Tony Luke's for a cheesesteak. So good. I have also found an awesome BYOB in Old City near where my new place will be. Anyone have any suggestions for places I just HAVE to go? Let me know!

I'm feeling ready for our next game against the Patriots. My agent and my girl are going so I know I'll at least have two fans. Hopefully more...you all better cheer loud from wherever you are!

Any idea on the title? What band?

Just checking in real quick to let you know how things are going. Camp is keeping me REALLY busy. It's a full time commitment. It's weird, it's like a full time job...oh wait, it is. So I'm just working really hard, getting better every practice. Watching film has been really useful too. The coaches do a great job of showing you exactly what you're doing wrong so you can work on it next time. Sometimes it's tough cuz it seems like all you see is what you're doing wrong...but then you have to realize that's what film is all about - watching your mistakes and learning from them.

When I do get a spare minute, I am usually taking naps or watching Family Guy. Stewie cracks me continuously.

Foot is doing pretty good. Sore, but no setbacks so I'm pumped about that. Still getting treatment and taking care of it.

Pretty cool to see all the fans at practice...keep coming out.

Also, check out the Club 93 shirts in the store...my bro has em now and is ready to ship out. Check em out as I think they're pretty sweet.

Quick hello

Hey all-

Don't have much time as camp is keeping me super busy, but wanted to give a quick update on camp.

My foot is slowly getting better. It still hurts, but I'm gonna try and give it a go this afternoon if all things go well. I'll let you guys know how it goes for sure. I'm definitely excited to get out there and test the foot and do some hitting! It's long overdue.

Other than that, just been in the classroom, learning as much as possible while still trying to stay in shape. I'm rooming with Vic, along with Kimo and Montae. They're all good guys.

On a side note, I'm SUPER pumped for my boy Jeff as he got called up to the Cubs. He even got to pitch on Friday, and was hitting the upper 90s with his fastball. That's the way to do it big dog!!! Look for him to dominate hitters all year for the Cubbies.

Alright, back to camp. I'll check in again when I get some free time.

Time to DO WORK

What up everyone-

Whew. I'm officially an Eagle. Contract got done today, and I am totally pumped. Lots of emotions...relief, excitement, wonderment, anxiousnes...felt em all today. I was in contact with my agent all day as he was giving me and my bro updates. He told me to head to Lehigh around noon as they were close. So I drove out there and waited and just basically drove around the campus, which is pretty sweet by the way, until I heard more.

So when the call finally came in that we had a deal, I immediately parked and headed in to officially report. It was definitely a good feeling for sure. Now it's time to get down to work and contribute to this team.

I should be ready to go later this week as I tweaked my foot training back in MN. It's nothing too serious, just a mild sprain that should heal up. I've been in Philly for awhile now getting treatment and trying to get ready for camp. I'm almost there.

Anyway, thanks for both the Eagles and my agent for getting the deal done, with no time to spare no less.

Oh, one final note, the spectacle that is the Flaming Lips are playing back in MN this Wednesday at the 10,000 Lakes Festival. If you can make it out there, I'd highly recommend it. You won't regret it.
